"The Mummy an' the Armadillo" had its world premiere at the Sarasota Film Festival. on January 29, 2004 where it won "Best of Fest" and "Gussie" awards.

It was a dark and stormy summer night at the Armadillo Cafe - located on the infamous Route 66.

Years ago, the Armadillo hosted weary travelers in search of a little rest, food and a peek at some bizarre desert attractions.

But these days there's not much traffic and all that's left of the attractions are some human mummified remains, a stuffed armadillo and the family that calls the cafe home.

During this dark and stormy night, Sarah, a stranger, stops at the cafe with a secret of her own. A secret that sets in motion a desperate encounter with the residents of this strange place.

Before the night is through, Sarah and the residents of the Armadillo Cafe will be engaged in a life and death struggle that began years before when violence swept through like a hot desert wind and left the Armadillo residents trapped in their own lonliness and despair.
